Where Classic Headshots Meet Creative Branding

Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it’s better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.

1. What to Expect: The Experience

Arrival & Setup: We’ll start with a quick walkthrough of the space to check lighting and finalize your outfit order.

  1. The Workflow: Expect a high-energy session! I’ll guide you through different "scenes" (e.g., working at a desk, lifestyle shots, "hero" portraits).

  2. Direction: You don't need to be a model. I will provide continuous coaching on movement, hand placement, and expressions.

  3. Turnaround: Mention when they will receive their proofing gallery (e.g., within 48 hours) and the final edited images.

2. What to Bring: The Checklist

  • Outfits: 3–5 coordinated looks (ironed and on hangers). Don't forget the shoes for every outfit!

  • Props: We will go over ideal Props for your photoshoot, remember less is more.

  • Touch-up Kit: Lip gloss, powder/blotting papers, hairbrush, and hairspray and your makeup bag.

  • Undergarments: Wearing nude undergarments is a great choice as they are not visible under clothing.

3. How to Prepare: The Lead-Up

  • Skin & Hair: Stay hydrated 48 hours before. Avoid new facial treatments or heavy tanning right before the shoot.

  • Clothing: Steam or iron your clothes the night before. Avoid tiny, busy patterns (they can "vibrate" on camera).

  • Brand Alignment: Review your brand colors. Try to incorporate them into your clothing or props for a cohesive look.

  • Logistics: Confirm the address, parking situation, and arrival time.

4. Study Poses: Visual Inspiration

  • The "Power Move": Arms crossed comfortably or hands on hips to show confidence.

  • The "Action Shot": Typing on a laptop, writing in a journal, or holding a phone as if on a call.

  • The "Approachable Professional": Seated on a stool or chair, leaning slightly forward with a warm smile.

  • The "Walking Shot": Slow, intentional steps toward or across the camera for movement.

  • Get some practice in with your "Good Side." Everyone has a preferred side of their face, whether it's the right or the left. Use your phone and take some selfies to familiarize yourself and embrace your good side.
