What Makes My Photography Business Unique?

After decades in the high-octane film and TV industries of LA and New York, I didn’t move to the Catskills to retire—I moved to build. I’ve seen too many people relocate to this region only to complain about the lack of opportunity. My philosophy was different: if a job market didn't exist for my craft, I would create one from scratch.

What you see today is a business born of pure sweat equity and a refusal to compromise. While others said a photographer couldn't specialize in multiple disciplines and succeed here, I found that the challenge of capturing diverse personal stories is exactly what keeps my work sharp.

I am a solo operator by design. When you hire me, you aren't getting a revolving door of assistants or anonymous editors. You are getting the person who built this brand from the ground up. From the first logistics call to the final edit, every pixel passes through my hands. My reputation is baked into every image, and I’ve worked too hard to get here to give you anything less than my absolute best.

I grew up in Oakland, California, and dove straight into the film industry right after high school—no pit stops, just lights, camera, action! I went on to study Film Direction at the American Film Institute, which set the stage for an exciting launch into my career. My very first job was at a commercial production house in the heart of New York City, and from there, I made it my mission to learn everything I could about the industry. I studied everything from acting and modeling to auditioning, working behind the camera on commercial sets, and getting hands-on in editing suites. My journey in film has taken me from the very start of productions to the moment the final cut airs—there’s nothing quite like seeing your work come to life on screen!

FUN FACTS ABOUT ME

02.

Despite my serious and focused approach to work, I definitely have a silly side. I love to laugh—especially at the absurdities of life—and try to carry a Monty Python-level sense of humor wherever I go. Whether I’m deep into directing a project or just sharing a ridiculous moment, I always aim to balance dedication with a healthy dose of laughter. I really believe that keeping things light—and not taking myself too seriously—makes even the most stressful days a little bit better.

I am grateful to have an amazing and supportive husband who can lighten up my digital meltdowns and maintain balance in our life. Additionally, I am the proud owner of two older Chihuahuas that were passed down to me by my late in-laws. I also have a stepdaughter living in Long Island and a loving community of family and friends in the Bay Area of California.
